Chakras
What are Chakras?
In previous pages you have learned that the physical construct of life is nothing more than energy vibrating at phenomenal speeds.
Energy vibrating fast enough is emitted as sound and when it vibrates at an even higher frequency it is emitted as a colour on the spectrum of light.
Energy therefore is constantly flowing.
Running down the length of your spinal column and extending out the front and back of the body there are pools or spirals of energy called Chakras.
There are seven of these life-force energy centres each relating to each other. The first is at the base of the spine and the seventh is at the crown of the head. The remaining five sit in between these extremes in a vertical axis.
Although there are lots more Chakras in the human body, these are the seven main ones.
Chakras exist in your subtle etheric body which is the non-material energetic counter-part of your physical body. They are the energy centre of your body in which energy flows.
The term Chakra is a Sanskrit work which means ‘wheel’ and represents the circular shape of these spinning energy centres.
They are the central energetic core of our existence and connect us with Spirit and Earth.
Each Chakra has its own distinct quality and characteristic which corresponds to your Spiritual, Psychological and Physical make-up.
Knowledge and use of Chakras can improve your health and assist in your personal development. Blocked energy for example can lead to illness, disease and emotional turbulence.
Each Chakra corresponds to a certain part of the body, a certain organ, a certain colour and a certain physical, psychological and spiritual expression.
Chakra vibrates at different frequencies depending on the level of awareness, development and integration of the individual. The lower Chakras for example relate to your fundamental emotional needs and feelings of being grounded. The energy here vibrates at a lower frequency and is more dense in nature. Blockage of this Chakra could present in your life as high emotional energy expressed as anger.
The goal when working with your Chakras is unification. In unifying all seven Chakras in a holistic way allows energy to flow freely thus bringing about balance and harmony to heal and transform your life.
There are tons of websites that go into great detail about Chakras, the goal here is introductory so that you may gain a basic insight of these powerful energy centres.
